Electronic Narcolepsy

when someone suddenly drops their head down to check their phone in their lap. Happens frequently at meals, business meetings, etc.
Person 1: Well, we were talking, but then his head just fell over...

Person 2: Did he have a phone in his hand?

Person 1: Well, yeah...

Person 2: Oh, he must have electronic narcolepsy...

Elective Narcolepsy

Falling asleep the exact moment one is asked to exert effort in assistance of others.
Just as I asked my husband to change the baby's dirty diaper, he had an acute attack of elective narcolepsy.

Cinematic Narcolepsy

A mental disorder that prevents the completion of works of cinema, including film and lengthy television or stage play shows, due to a chronic and consistent inability to stay awake until the end of said performances without making an effort.
We decided that we were better served ordering the movie at home when it comes out on streaming because my girlfriend’s cinematic narcolepsy means it may take a few days to finish the movie.

Olympic Narcolepsy

A physical condition characterized by sudden and uncontrollable episodes of deep sleep while watching the Olympics, due to boredom and/or apathy.
Person 1: I don't like the Olympics because it just seems like its the modern day equivalent to a war cry for ones country, except the bloodshed is miles away.

Person 2: I don't like it because I tend to get Olympic Narcolepsy.

Boner narcolepsy

When you pretend to be asleep because you don't want your roommate to think you are checking out his raging boner.
Pretending to be asleep (lapsing into classic Boner Narcolepsy) , I kept my eyes closed and lay perfectly still while Stephano pranced about our dorm room with a massive boner.
