A fob is a slang word used to describe people in Qatar. They tend to have a plethora of addictions like: vaping , dokha, alcoholism, etc. Mostly they are known to randomly challenge people to fights in order to gain clout. Their personality is described as morons and usually have a negative iq. Fobs are spotted in places like the pearl and lusail, and recently lagoona mall. Experts say if u play the latest song of Travis Scott on full volume fobs will be attracted like magnets. noun. Abbreviation: Fresh of the Boat. Pronounced "Fahb". A person, most often of Asian descent, so new to the country that they don't understand much of Western culture and customs. Usually indicates weak command of the English language as well.

Origins can be tracked back to Ellis Island with the huge influx of immagrants flooding into the United States in the late 1800's.
The workers on Ellis Island coined the term when immagrants who spoke no English nor had and sense of "Americanism" arrived. Used in a derrogatory sense.
Later FOB became popular in the 50's on remote vacation destinations (Hawaii etc..) and still later in California with the huge rush of Vietnamese immagrants in the late 70's and 80's.
