A cloud-based PC gaming platform created by the game developer Valve. Designed to allow users to purchase, download, and play games linked to their accounts from any computer, without worrying about discs or limited installations. Also provides a community in which users can see games their friends are playing, give recommendations and reviews, and even create and share custom content for some games via the Workshop.

Being the first successful platform of its kind, it was initially riddled with bugs and had a poor reputation. In more recent years, it has become a celebrated staple of PC gaming.

A gaming platform made by Valve software that can auto update games and has a built in IM client (Friends). Despite having a very buggy release, it is now a solid system, although idiots who have nothing better to do still whine since it crashes on their spyware infested PC, or their warez copy of Half-Life no longer works.

A video game launcher. Steam is owned by Valve and run by our true lord and savior Gaben. Steam is so great because Gaben blesses us with constant sales and the latest games on the market. Most games give you great quality for a good price, unlike some other launchers. (*cough cough* Origin *cough cough*)
