word.exe was the name of the hack file a player was caught using in a video game called Counter Strike: Global Offensive. The player was caught mid game, at a LAN event. His name was Nikhil "Forsaken" Cumwat. This event caused outrage in the gaming community because this was one of the first times a professional video gamer was caught hacking at a LAN event with a live audience.

word.exe is the name of the cheat that Nikhil "forsaken" Kumawat, a member of CSGO team Optic India used during the eXTREMESLAND 2018 finals against Revolution Gaming. During the match, an admin inspected forsaken's pc, and found 3 files called :word.exe, word.exe.bak and log.txt in one of the temp folders. Then, forsaken made a stupid move by DELETING ALL THOSE FILES IN FRONT OF THE ADMIN. More admins were called to recover the files and found out that it is an aimbot cheat. Forsaken received a 5 years ESIC ban and his team was disqualified from the tournament. Later, this became a huge meme in the CSGO community.
Now, the word "word.exe" is often used to call cheats in general.
