take stock in

definition fluxuates with the state of the economy. when the economy is up (note: not right now) it means to start a stable relationship; to have sex with someone with hopes of being with him/her for a while. when the economy is down (note: right now) it means a one-nite stand; having sex with someone with a no-return policy.
