They are in more specific terms, known for there Solaris Operating System, and Java Programming Language. They are also known for giving the most "bang for your buck" if you will. There stock (Ticker Symbol: SUNW) has been slipping to a negative ever since 1997, however Scott McNealy has quite a plan for bringing them back to the top.
