Every day, from here on out, is post 9/11. Referring to it usually implies that something was to be learned on 9/11 and has not been, usually security driven.
It is unbelievable that in a post 9/11 world we still allow Taco Bell to exist!

A political buzzphrase used as a rhetorical talking-point in a power-grabbing or liberty-destroying attempt to diminish or subvert the civil libertarian, responsible, and democratic character of a community, group, or society.
The honoring of civil liberty, presumption of innocence and good faith, privacy, and freedom of speech and expression cannot be tolerated because we live in a post 9/11 world.

A baseless and insulting pseudo-justification for an unqualifiable, destructively irrational, frequently stupid, and nearly psychotically paranoid assumption of the mass culpability and inheirently evil, antisocial character of an entire community, group, society, or world.
Everyone everywhere is assumed to be crazy and evil and must be inspected and watched at all times, with any suspicions real or imagined reported immediately because we live in a post 9/11 world!

George W. Bush's justification for all proclamations and decisions that would otherwise be seen as treasonous, detrimental, unsubstanciated, or wrong.
"We live in a post 9/11 world, it is maybe possible that Saddam might be capable of obtaining weapons that could be of mass destruction. So we must invade Iraq."

A term to describe anyone who grew highly accustomed to the culture of the 1990's, and subsequently feels jaded about growing up in the information age, especially since the saturation of mediocrity that has dominated popular culture in the aftermath of 9/11.
Since 9/11, Western Culture lost its integrity, resulting in the following:
The declining quality of mainstream media, the excess of the youth, the superficiality of modern lifestyles, the rise of underage sexuality, the corruption of authority figures, the unethical practises of corporate institutions, the exposure of adult subjects amongst young people, the breakdown of gender roles, the general distrust of society, etcetera

Welcome to the post 9/11 culture burnout...
