A quick-ass car that was the world's fastest road car for a period in the eighties. Produced only in left hand drive and distinguished by the swooping spioler at the back.

An excellent car.

Due to a balancing shaft and a transaxle design boasting 50/50 balance, the RWD Porsche 944 is a very fun car to drive. The later S2 boasts 6-pot calipers and the world's largest production 4 cylinder, coming in at 3.0l. Filled with a well designed, ergonomic, aesthetically pleasing German interior, this car is still a good buy today. Not the fastest but in turbo and S2 variants, fast enough to beat much younger sports cars, including MX-5's, Preludes, etc; not to mention any van.
Look at that guy in his Porsche 944! He's smart enough to tack it to an autocrossing event where it belongs! Thank God he's sensible enough not to risk everyones life by street racing! Cool!

The Porsche 944 S2 is such an awesome car! Only cooler car is the 968!

The Porsche 968 was voted Performance Car of the Year by Performance Car magazine in 1993. Hugely expensive when new, more than $60,000 in 1992, the 968 is one of, if not the rarest production Porsches. Only 4,665 where imported into the US between 1992 and 1995. With its front engine, rear transaxle design, and Brembo four-piston alloy calipers, it is arguably the best handling Porsche as well. With the 6 speed gearbox, it will reach 60 mph in under 6 seconds, with a top speed of 165. Today its styling is still fresh, and it will turn heads and have people asking you if it’s new. Buy one – FAST!
The Porsche 968 is the last GT style car produced by Porsche, and one of the most balanced cars ever built, which means it handles like a dream.

A large, luxurious sport utility vehicle often associated with the rich and famous. While it can capably go off-roading and performs well on a race track, you’re more likely to see it cruising down the street of a gated community or the parking lot of a high end shopping mall. They’re mostly driven by trophy wives who flaunt their expensive taste with designer clothing and gold iPhones. You’re also likely to see stuck up business men/doctors with big egos driving them.
That’s a nice Porsche Cayenne over there, I bet the owner’s ego is larger than his/her 6,000 square foot house.

An excellent but often neglected car.

Produced 1982-91; there is a flavor for everyone (except haters)

Due to low entry price and high maintenance costs they are often owned by lower income Porsche owners. Can be found in it's natural environment (craigslist) for $500 but you're better off buying one from a knowledgeable owner who has cared for the car. Early cars are lighter but later cars are near modern in construction and features.
944 owner "I drive a Porsche 944 S2 Coupe"
911 owner "you should have bought a real *porche*, not that white trash Audi"
944 owner: "My 944 is faster than your clapped out 75 targa, doesn't leak any oil, is immune to rust, has great air conditioning, 4-piston brembo brakes and actual cargo space"
911 owner: silence
