Plongitude

A plongitude is at right angles to any common platitude … viz. “the cat’s meow”, a platitude for something quite nice, turns into “the cat’s dogbite” to mean something very “not nice.”
The writer surprises her readers with frequent plongitudes eliciting knowing grins more than lohengrins.

The female equivalent to Testicular Fortitude. A woman who has "guts" or who is brave in the face of adversity.
