Get the NotGood mug.Some bullshit campaign from Canada going around the internet that somehow managed to brainwash thousands into the phony belief that using "retarded" is automatically bullying the mentally disabled no matter how it's used, even when the thing "retarded" was referring to didn't even have to do with them to begin with. Yet they still choose to ignore that logic and bring upon their twisted idea that it's still comparing the unpleasant thing "retarded" is referring to to the mentally disabled which makes absolutely no fucking sense. They even made a little PSA where some guy in an office uses "retarded" in the proper colloquial context on the phone, you know, WITHOUT talking about the mentally disabled (let alone bullying them), and all of a sudden everyone else there demonizes him as a goblin which hardly makes any difference. Presumably run by SJWs and white knights thinking they're doing the entire mentally disabled group a favor by unconditionally defending them 24/7 as if they even asked for it to begin with (and despite there actually being neurodivergents who don't care about that word at all unless it's actually being used as a slur, believe it or not)
The campaign is run by Special Olympics groups and while we don't have anything against them and genuinely respect all the athletes and their will to overcome their disabilities, the problem with their campaign is that they take the idea of using that word to bully those mentally disabled people TO AN UNNECESSARY EXTREME. And that's what most of the criticism tries to address, that it's not a slur per se unless it's actually being used as one to bully and demean the mentally disabled. Yet they don't listen to that either and continue to insist on their belief that their campaign is absolutely perfect and the #1 thing this world needs than anything else.
