It can be either --similar to-- a living room for chatter, or a bedroom for the guests to stay overnight.

When one of your partially romantic affiliations decides to stay over and you don't know whether it would be more or less awkward to offer them the guest room.

K: We should probably go to bed now
M: (internal narrator: do i offer him the guest room? this SUCH a guest room moment!) My bed's this way...

Guestomer 

A corporation that refers to its' customers as guests in an attempt to gain false trust with a patron.

Employee: "A customer is looking for a dictionary and ettiquette book, but I'm not sure where they are located in the store."
Manager: "We don't have customers, we have guests."
Employee: "I'm sorry, a guestomer is looking for a....ahh forget it, pretty obvious this store doesn't carry either."

A person who finds guestbooks with no entries on social networking sites such as Netlog and 'bags' them by being first to comment. Usually done to, mistakenly, increase their self-worth.
