a person who, for some inexplicable reason, stops at the bottom/top of an escaltor forming a human barricade.

I would have made the train if it wasn't for some escalump.

Escalump

A person who stands in the middle of an escalator, not knowing that they are blocking it for the people who like to walk.

Person 1: I seriously hate taking the metro because all the escalumps make going down the escalator such a pain in the ass.

Person 2: Seriously.
