A combination of "emoticon" and "demoted." A feeling of being demoted by an important person in your life who suddenly responds to a text or email only with an emoticon — not any words. But a demoticon probably means that the person feels so connected with you that no words are needed. So this is actually a good thing: See promoticon.

When someone you're waiting on a reply from spends ages appearing to be typing a message so you expect some lengthy text, but instead simply receive a damning emoticon. Usually a negative result.

A portmanteau of emoticon, con and demote.

Example: Jim: Dude, what did she say when you asked her out?

Fred: Man, I waited ages and then got demoticonned.

An epic fail by Urban Dictionary as Work of the Day for Oct 4th 2014.
The definition read:
"An emoticon that shows both happy and sad faces. i.e. ):(
The Internet is a horrible and wonderful place ):( <--"

However this aforementioned emoticon does not contain a happy face; it is merely two sad faces. The correct emoticon should be either " (:( " or " ):) "

(noun); Dominican pyschopaths who seduce their lovers (victims) with their high physical appeal, heavy spanish accent, sensual bachata dance moves, and home cooked meals into their satanic spider web of demise for his/her own satisfactions. (sex, money, hookah, etc.)

I knew this chick was demonican the moment right after she fed me & threatened to cut me open & take out all the food when she asked me for something & I said no.
