To be forced to make small talk for the sake of being polite. To be held back from completing tasks or reaching destinations due to having to engage is meaningless conversation, the subject of which could be couldn't be further from anything you are interested in.

Sorry I'm late, I was getting Angused.

Or....

"Have you seen Bill?" "Yeah, he's in the boardroom getting Angused, but he'll be here in a second".
