The indefinite side project of former Blink 182 member Tom DeLonge -- accompanied by David Kennedy, Adam "Atom" Willard, and Matt Wachter. A&A shoots for a "larger than life" sound to promote their message about life, the importance of ones dreams, and the infinite possibilities humanity is blessed with. Current albums include "We Don't Need to Whisper" and its counter-part, "I-Empire."
It's not about losing a great band like Blink 182; it's about gaining two better ones -- Angels & Airwaves and +44.

Get the Angels & Airwaves mug.
A Nu-millenium band which can be described as a mix between explosions in the sky(band), christian rock, and emo.

Very different, and if all songs are listened to, quite original.

Also, while some say that the abbreviation A&A is simultaneous to Coheed and Cambria's C&C, this is incorrect. The bands official logo is AVA: the V is the a in "and" flipped upside down, and the abbreviation is meant to read "Ava", otherwise known as Tom Delonge's daughter Ava.
Person 1: "God stop playing that emo SHIT!"
Person 2: "Dude...Angels and Airwaves isn't just emo. Just because you can't understand half the words and you are upset because you arent as openly emotional as the band doesn't mean they suck. Besides, there is such thing as good emo, so stop labeling every band you hate with that overrated slang, bitch."

Project created by former blink-182 and Box Car Racer guitarist/vocalist Thomas DeLonge. The band also consists of David Kennedy, who was also in Box Car, Atom Willard (The Offspring, Rocket From the Crypt) and Ryan Sinn (The Distillers).

The band have released some footage through the internet and myspace and are planning to release their debut album in April 2006.
Angels And Airwaves are going to be a fucking awesome band. Anyone who thinks otherwise can go get AIDS.

Tom is much better off in Angels And Airwaves than blink.

The best band that has ever come around. The side project of Tom Delonge that was created after the blink-182 split.
I just listened to "The Adventure" by Angels and Airwaves, it was the most organic experience I have ever gone through!

I'm too quick to judge. I used to think AVA sucked because:
a) I was told they only had a few good songs
b) Tom DeLonge won't shut the fuck up about 'Finding God' and all that religious crap.
But I was told to give them a listen and now I love them. I am such a hypocrite!
Angels and Airwaves's songs are lengthier than any other Blink 182 song you may have heard and there's no songs about fucking dogs in the ass. These songs actually have a serious message in them.
The downside is that Tom DeLonge thinks he can change the world. As much as I like him, that's a pretty scary thought. He also thinks that the songs on 'We Don't Need to Whisper' will 'change your life'. Not true. Of course there are a couple of nice, uplifting songs that make you feel good but they won't change your life. Ever.
1. 'The Adventure' was Angels and Airwaves first single. Coming from the guy who used to be in 'the naked band', it's pretty impressive.

2. Angels and Airwaves are good but I miss Blink 182. I hope they get back together soon.

3. Tom DeLonge - "I believe I can change the world"
Me - Nobody can change the world. It's already fucked up. Please just stick to playing guitar and singing!
(What I would say if I heard him say that)
