Yeah = yes a) I understand the question, b) it was me, c) i might agree with what you are saying. Nah = No a) I don't think thats right, b) it was not me, c) there is no useful information i can give you, d)come to think of it, maybe i don't agree with you. I dunno = I'd like to put in a disclaimer and nullify anything I just said. Non committal. Common in Australia.

Commonly used Australian word meaning "No".
Often used by a person who is conflicted or to aknowlege positive points made by the person asking the question.
Sometimes used to soften the blow of rejection.

Bloke 1 - "Head down the pub for some sneaky schooeys?"
Bloke 2 - "Sigh, yeah naa. Told my girlfriend I would watch will and grace with her then talk about my feelings."

Young bloke - "Do you reackon I can fix my car. I'm good with a spanner?"
Mechanic - "Yea naa. She's pretty fucked."

Drunk bloke - "Can I buy you a drink?"
Attractive girl - "Yeah naa, I'll be right. Lol"
