Walker's Law

Walker's Law is an adage formulated by strat81 that states, "As an Internet discussion grows longer, the probability of someone mentioning Texas, and why it is better, approaches 1."

The term originated at AR15.com and is named after "Walker, Texas Ranger."

Joe - "This restaurant in town makes great pulled pork."

Mike - "Yeah, but it's not as good as Sam's Pork Shack down here in Texas!"

Walker's Nod

A respectful bow of the head usually done multiple times by more experienced walkers, usually ones who notice body patterns and such. Either this walker or passerby does not want to talk or would not like to appear threatening. It may be akward for tbe person opposite from you, if they nod too early or too late. Usually said walker will bow their head for a few seconds when passing shoulder to shoulder, which is quite normal. I personally use the walker's nod a lot, and as mutual walkers, we all understand. When I first started walking a lot, I was quite confused, but realized quickly what others were doing. This is a show of respect, don't take it wrong. Anyway, have fun on your next walk! Remember to nod!

Johnny Walker's law

Johhny Walker's law occurs when, in an Internet argument, an interlocutor posts an arguement so stupid he winds up pwning himself.

Named for a brand of Scotch which the man who inspired the law was fooled into sending to a fake person for fake information, thereby destroying his chances of ever being taken seriously again.

1. Iain Hall: "John, the facts of the matter are that for all of the Warminista posturing the Australian people are not convinced, check out the two polls that each show more than 70% of the respondents are “unbelievers”."

John: Surname "It’s the idiotic right at work - Iain chooses apparent public consensus on two News Ltd webpolls (which can in no way be rigged by Andrew Bolt and co.), over the scienetific consensus. Why do I get the feeling he just lost that argument on his own? I name this Johnny Walker's law."

Maggie L Walker Governor's School

AKA prison. A place where the students appear nice and thoughtful on the outside but are rich, spoiled, and have the souls of lemmings. You will be given so much homework that you haven't the time to do anything else. This is why the student body appears to be a hive mind. Any personality, unique traits, or hobbies outside of school sports they once had were sucked out of them. Heed this warning.
