Currently the term "Truther" refers to someone who adheres to the beliefs espoused by the 9/11 Truth movement. Truthers are conspiracy theorists that, like all conspiracy theorists, blatantly distort facts and quotes. These are the Bible thumpers of 9/11.
Some of them believe that the government orchestrated it in some complex, cockamamie scheme; others believe that the government simply let it happen.

in conversations with truther /s some will make out that they are worse off than people living in say somalia , generally they have never heard of the place and what has happened there but when you tell them then inform them they have things like wealfare, education, clean water, health care , proper doctors , effective policing , free speech , free movement , democratic elections and the plethora of other things available to someone from theyre country the most common response is that free speech is a lie and the government is bumping off people who are trying to get the truth out , and to that i say well you and alex jones is still alive ,,,,that usually shuts them up
