Tortitude

The attitude (I am special so no other cat should be allowed to even breath *hiss, slap*) indigenous to ALL tortioseshell/calico cats. Also applies to some torbies (tortoiseshell tabbies.)
Calli was so full of tortitude this morning, she ran off all the cats so she could eat breakfast alone!

Tortitude

A common stereotype among cat owners depicting tortoiseshell cats as being far more tsundere-ish than other breeds. Anyone who has owned a tortoiseshell cat can attest to its truthfulness.
Tortitude is real, and it doesn't diminish with age. Tortoiseshell cats are often very short-tempered and aggressive, but they are extremely affectionate when not in a sassy mood. Tortoiseshell cats are talkative regardless of their mood, and they are quite resilient as well. Might have something to do with the fact that they're always female.

Testicular Fortitude

A more academic English translation of the Spanish word "cojones", that originally stood for testicles, two spheric glands part of the reproductive system of males, also commonly known as balls.

To have testicular fortitude is to show strength, courage and sagacity in challenging situations. The story of how strength and courage is related to two nuts encased in shriveled skin hanging from between a man’s legs is a fascinating story that i don't have the time to go into right now.
You can’t win with reserve and lassitude
And you can’t face the unforgiving multitude
Without the manly trait of testicular fortitude

West Midlands slang word for rockers, bikers, greasers etc. In the late 1980s it was used by the UK music press to refer to a specific scene centered around the bands Pop Will Eat Itself and Crazyhead. The term never found favour with readers of 'the inkies' (Sounds, Melody Maker and the still extant NME) and was soon dropped. Now often used in predominantly working-class areas of the midlands and the north to mean someone who listens to rock-derived music and/or dresses in a manner that suggests they affiliate themselves with rock music of some kind.
