Someone that wasn't friendly with Louis XIII would always bark about/threaten with beatdown this or reserving the right to beat his ass that, always getting standoffish with him if they even thought he was going to do something they didn't like whether he had done it yet or hadn't (which doing something somebody doesn't like should give someone else the right to kill you, and nobody likes getting threats from an instigator, so nothing works out and no deals/compromises are made between the two unfriendly parties).

The parrot lady would have on her camoflage outfit hiding in plain sight in the town square barking at the happy passerbys in a standoffish manner, always. Her friend requests and apologies made Chevy Chase look like the most sincere and heartfelt guy you ever met.
