Shanaban

A portmanteau of NHL chief player disciplinarian Brendan Shanahan and his subsequent enforcement of league rules.

A player is Shanabanned following an on-ice incident which is often accompanied by a video explanation of factors contributing to a suspension.

Shanaban's have received league wide support in lieu of increasing concussions and blindside hits as well as multiple criticisms for lack of consistency.

Five players were Shanabanned in the first week of the 2011-2012 preseason

To be suspended in the NHL by the new head disciplinarian, VP of Hockey Operations, Brendan Shanahan.

James Wisniewski: "awww man, I was just suspended for eight games for hitting Cal in the head..."

Shanahanigans

It's similar to the word "shenanigans," but specifically meant for Coach Mike Shanahan.

1. It refers to the questionable or silly coaching decisions made by Mike Shanahan that negatively impact fantasy football owners who start NFL players that are coached by Mike.

2. It can additionally be used to describe the questionable or silly coaching decisions that negatively impact the NFL team in which Mike Shanahan coaches.

With less than two minutes to go the Redskins are down six points. Coach Shanahan decides to bench his starting quarterback Donovan McNabb, for whom he traded, in exchange for the back up quarterback who hasn't played in two years or normally practices with the Redskins' starting lineup.

This is Shanahanigans!

Shaabani

Another term for getting screwed over or being really bad at something.

Can be used while gaming or in a corporate environment.
Often used in Rocket League to smack talk the other team when you score.

“Dude, you just got Shaabani’d”
“Sorry I’m late. Traffic really Shaabani’d me.”
“I really Shaabani’d that presentation”
“I’ll try to be there if I don’t get Shaabani’d on this project”
“I got Shaabani’d on my performance review.
