A cheap version of photoshop that requires no photo-editing skills at all. Usually used by teenagers to add stupid filters to their images that makes them look cooler than they do in real life.

An online photo-editing service. It's free but you can pay for premium.
It has a variety of photo effects, which, if used correctly, can positively enhance an image. Many of the effects Picnik has are merely dumbed-down and less-refined versions of what you can do in Photoshop, but hey, there's a reason Picnik is free.
However, Picnik is often used by young teenage girls to apply bizarre color effects and to add stupid sayings in ugly fonts to pictures, that they then add to Facebook. For this reason, Picnik has an extremely bad reputation.

Girl 1: Did you see Kathy's new profile picture of her and her sister? It looks so weird. It's really sharp and too highly contrasted, and she wrote "sIsTeRz <3" on it in some ugly text.
Girl 2: Yeah, I saw that. She must have picniked it. God, I hate that type of Picnikers.

Guy 1: Hey man, nice shot! Did you use Photoshop to adjust the color like that?
Guy 2: Thanks! Nope, I actually used Picnik.
Guy 1: Really? I didn't know you could actually make photos look good with Picnik.
Guy 2: Yeah, there's a lot you can do with Picnik if you know how to use it.

Picnik

A photo-editing site similar to Photoshop. It's free to use most of the features, but some of the most advanced ones require a Premium membership, which costs a few dollars a month. Picnik has an especially good text feature, so lots of Picniked photos have random text on them that looks really good. It's a ton of fun, and you can make great photos even without a Premium membership!

picnik whore

Picnik whore:
an individual, usually a female, who feels the need to use the photo editing program Picnik to put effects and/or stupid clip art on their pictures that usually makes them look trashy rather than enhance the photo. Often the picnik whore will use a picture of them and a friend to show how popular they are. Peace signs and sticking out your lips like a retarded kid are compulsory. Often when text is put on the pictures, it's one of a few things:
-quote from a stupid song
-"bestiess <3333333"
-"THATS HOW WE ROLL <3333"
-"were such freakssss <333"
-any other thing an adolescent white girl would type.

"Carissa just put a whole bunch of Taylor Swift lyrics to her profile picture...she is SUCH a Picnik whore..."

Picnik Abuse 

When a person overuses the online editing program Picnik to the point where they overload their photos with font, emoticons and effects. The editing takes away from the main point of the photo.

"There was so much Picnik Abuse on Jane's photo, I could barely concentrate on the picture of her dog."

"Don't Picnik Abuse the photo! It looks better au natural!"

"Doug's facebook profile picture had such a cheesy quote on it. It made his girlfriend and him look less cute."
