Murphism

It's used to blatantly lie to your face with a smile. Will use any tactic to better oneself. i.e. " You get a $6,500 tax credit when you buy a used diesel vehicle!" Often used by shady and or questionable salesman. Buyer beware a murphism is coming to a dealership near you.!

"By the way Mr. Jones if you buy this vehicle you will get one free!"

"This car gets 239 miles per gallon, Mrs. Salazar."

Buyer beware of that murphism!
