Moirail

Your soul mate in a non-romantic sense. You cannot live without this person; they complete you. They balance you. You would be lost forever without them. Moirails are not just "best friends". It's so much more than that. Moirail is the ultimate bond that you can feel with someone.

Equius and Nepeta are moirails. She's bubbly and cute and happy, so she can defuse him when he flies into a rage, which is quite often. He's strong and protects her. They couldn't live without each other.

Moirail

A term coined in the MSPA webcomic Homestuck, used to refer to a strong platonic relationship. One of several types of romance (referred to as quadrants) for an alien species referred to as "trolls," although such a relationship can be formed between a troll and a human or between two humans as well. Represented by a diamond (<>), in the same way a sexual romantic relationship is represented by a heart (<3). Also referred to as palemance, pale mates, pale romance, the pale quadrant, and palerom. Is sometimes used by nerdy Homestuck fans to refer to their best friends.

person 1: "You and so-and-so are awfully close, what's going on between you two? c:"
person 2:. "We're moirails! We were just close friends for a while but we recently entered the pale quadrant. ^u^"

Moirallegiance 

One of romantic quadrants, type of love, used in webcomic "Homestuck" to describe semi-platonic relationship between two trolls. The definition diverges from the def. of "platonic love", as it is more focused on pacifying the partner and being the (often only) shoulder they can cry on, rather than being romantic friend of sorts. It is worth noting that it is stronger than love for a friend, but weaker than eros, deep passionate love to ones romantic and/or sexual partner. Not to be confused with friendship, as Moirallegiance is very romantic, and includes cuddling, kissing, etc.
Your Moirail, aka partner in Moirallegiance, is often rerferred to as "palemate".

Person B: Oh yeah, we entered a moirallegiance together recently.

Moirailsprit

A mix of both red quadrants from the webcomic Homestuck. They both act as a matesprit and a moirail respectively, basically being the ultimate red quadrant partner, being flushed and pale. It is not canon to Homestuck.

Person A: I think I am flushed for Person C, but also pale for them.
Person B: Why don’t you two just be moirailsprits?

Moirallegiance 

Moirallegiance is a fictional type of relationship from the webcomic Homestuck, in which the alien race referred to as Trolls exists. Said alien race has four different types of relationships, unlike humans who have only one, the romantic type. Each is represented by a different suit from the common card set, Moirallegiance using Diamonds opposed to the Hearts of common romantic relationships as Humans mainly pursue them. A Moirallegiance is formed between two Trolls, one who is too violent for their own good and/or their environment and another that is there to calm them down, keeping them from their (self)destructive behavior. Though likely not confirmed, there is a possibility that this can also be formed between two violent Trolls. Imagine it like a best-friendship but on a higher level.
