the best ship on stranger things

i've always admired how patient she is with mike, how she continues to be his friend even when he's mean to her. like, honestly, she's snarkier with lucas and dustin than she ever is with mike, and i think it's bc she sees herself in him in a way? like when she says she's angry its because she's hurting and that she doesn't want to be angry, i think she can see that in mike. i think she can see in the way he protects will that he's a good person, that he's just going through something. and i think it's so beautiful that she can sense that in him bc honestly she's kind of the only character to seems to pick up on it, or at least she's the only one who's gentler with him because of it. everyone else in the party treats him normally, and his parents are even more on his case because of it and punish him for his attitude; max is the only one who seems to consider mike's acting out could be because of pain. which is sad, bc max sees it bc she can relate, but i also think there's potential for that to form a really beautiful bond if they acknowledge that they deal with pain in the same way. in conclusion, shut up & go stan madwheeler
