The attempt at solving a mathematical problem by applying incorrect assumptions, inappropriate formulas, and bypassing intermidiate steps to derive an answer.

Student's Homework:
a + b = c
(4a - 3a) + (4b - 3b) = (4c - 3c)
4a + 4b - 4c = 3a + 3b - 3c
4(a + b - c) = 3(a + b - c)
therefore, 4 = 3

Teacher:
This is mathematics, not MATHEMAGICS. Don't divide by zero.

Mathematically your logic has been warped by mathemagical reflections of ill formed thought and unreasonable reason to such degree as to levitate and disguise it's very essence with a cloak of ignorant invisibility.
