Lovingly detach

What you say when the relationship has no hope, but you have to say something nice in order to feel less guilty for dumping someone.

“I’m not dumping you, I’m lovingly detaching”. Sounds so much better than “Fuck you, you piece of shit. Go take a long walk on a short pier.”
