Leeds Fan

A member of a band of brothers who follow a century year old religious cult that originated in West Yorkshire in October 1919. The place of worship is the sacred ground of Elland Road current under the stewardship of Leader Marcelo Bielsa who has followed many other legends such as the Don and Sergeant Wilco. Leeds fans hate the Scum (Man U), the Pikeys (Millwall), the Dog Botherers (Huddersfield) and most other football clubs in the land however do have a slight fondness towards Man City and Liverpool given their shared hatred of the Scum. Your average Leeds fan is highly intelligent, a capable drinker and generally all round decent bloke but would die for the team and would never be seen wearing anything red. Feared throughout the land and share a special hatred for the Turkish team of Galatasaray and their murderous fans.

Fogey/fogy /fougi/ sl. (early 18C+, orig. Scot) old-fashioned, stuck-in-the mud.
Person with old fashioned ideas which he is unwilling to change: Come to the disco and stop being such an old fogey!
You think me an old fogeyand an old tory, his thoughtful voice said. I saw three generations since O’Connel’s time. I remember the famine. Do you know that the orange lodges agitated for repeal of the union twenty years before O’Connel did or before the prelates of your communion denounced him as a demagogue? You fenians forget some things. (James Joyce, Ulysses. Penguin Books,1992. p. 38)
