The title of a 1960 film by Federico Fellini. The title means "the sweet life", but it describes Rome as a corrupted city, a disgusted trip in fashion and glamour. Nevertheless, everyone thinks this movie celebrates the beautiful Rome of the 60s, but it's just because no one actually watched it.

Mr. Paparazzo, a gossip photographer in the movie, became the origin of the word "paparazzi".

Despite being considered one of the best italian movies ever made, La Dolce Vita didn't win any Oscar nor a single italian prize. It won the 1960 Palme d'Or for costumes in Cannes.
