noun, informal

noun: ketard; plural noun: ketards
ˈkēˌtärd
1.
a mentally handicapped person who believes the ketogenic diet is healthy and BY THE WAY SO FUCKING AMAZING

Most of these people are morbidly obese with coronary artery disease and circlejerk with the 3 or 4 people in the entire fandom that are of a humanly BMI. They interpret that the diet (under strict medical supervision) is used to control seizures in some children with drug-resistant epilepsy to mean it must be a cure all and make you hyper intelligent and healthy.
Ketards never shut the fuck up about their diet, they recommend it to anyone who ever says the word diet or weight. They're worse than gluten free fucktards.

Get the Ketard mug.
ketogenic retard; normally used as a term against those who treat the keto diet as if it's the end all be all to weight loss and like calories mean nothing.

Many ketards will act as if keto is the only diet that can or will work, and are quick to attack anybody who says otherwise or criticizes the diet. (I mean, let's be real: most people can't live the rest of their lives without any form of carbohydrates, and they're often times bound to gain back the weight they lost.)

Ketard can also be used to describe a person who uses a lack of carbs as an excuse to overindulge on fats and other high-calorie meals, yet will still act above any other diets by citing those who have used low-carb diets to maintain a calorie deficit and truly lose weight to justify eating unhealthy foods like bacon-wrapped cheeseburgers cooked in extra grease (without the bun of course; carbs are the true enemy, don't forget!)
An example of a ketard can be found as one of the very writers of one of these definitions, actually! Notice how they resort to strawmanning anyone who isn't on their holy keto diet as a fat pig who is merely envious of the ketard who supposedly lost 100+ pounds? Quite the example right there!

Get the Ketard mug.
A disparaging label applied to a person who chooses to eat a low carbohydrate diet in spite of the social pressure to do otherwise. The term is most often used after the dieter produces numerous scientific studies demonstrating the value of the diet.
"Look at that Ketard over there eating chicken and salad instead of pizza like us. Ever since he lost that 100 pounds, there is no use talking to him. Say, what do they have for dessert, here?"
