IYAOYAS = If You Aint Ordnance You Aint Shit

One would think that someone claiming to be an AO1 would at least know how to spell Ordnance!

IYAOYAS is a proud tradition!
Ordnance not Ordinance!

IYAOYAS

If Your An Ordie, Your Asvab Sucks. In reference to the low Armed Service Vocational Aptitude Battery or ASVAB score required to become an Aviation Ordinanceman. This acronym goes along with If You Ain't Ordinance, You Ain't Shit which many AO lifers proudly display on anything they can write. It is believed that the first IYAOYAS reference was made up by some one in the nuclear power field who thought it would be humorous if AO's proudly advertised their level of inteligence.

IYAOYAS, Something all ordinancemen should be proud of

IYAOYAS

An acronym used by Aviation Ordnancemen in the US Military meaning: If you ain't ordnance, you ain't shit.

In other words, it's a way for servicemen who do little to nothing to give themselves an inflated sense of self-worth.

Ordnance shout, "IYAOYAS!" then the grunts shout back, "POGs!" and the ordnancemen can't say shit.
