Originally meant someone who likes to play games, typically video games, as a hobby. But nowaday, the term has mutated into a word used to describe LGBTphobic people on Internet, even if these don't necessarily play video games.

A person who is very cool and has the biggest peepee and are mostly forever virgins gamers tend to have many different personalities for each of the games they play, if they play stadia they are stinky Butt faces, if they play mobile they are fake, ps4/Xbox are sweaty nerds and pc players don’t know how to feel oppressed

A person who plays any kind of games like board games (chess, checkers, snakes and ladders, etc.), card games (like poker or 21), sports games (well sports naturally), and video games like minecraft, terraria, genshin impact, fortnite, pubg etc. for the sole purpose of getting good at it as a hobby. These people aren't losers, the real losers are the ones who criticize them for doing what they enjoy the most - gaming.
