Originally meant a person who plays games. Nowadays, means a person who doesn't necessarily plays video games, and may be very unpleasant.

Originally meant someone who likes to play games, typically video games, as a hobby. But nowaday, the term has mutated into a word used to describe LGBTphobic people on Internet, even if these don't necessarily play video games.

Why is Cantonese, the official language of Hong Kong and Macau, not on Google Translate?! Not all Chinese dialects are the same, Google!
