FOGBAD

An acronym which stands for: "Fear Of Getting Baited And Duped", which is the opposite of FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out).
A phenomenon where a person is hesitant in buying a video game, going to see a movie, or getting invested in an ongoing tv series for fear of the product not being what was advertised or expected, being of poor quality, or taking a sudden turn into polarizing themes later into the story.

"After the Star Wars sequels ruined the previous films and characters, I'm sitting out for the new Indiana Jones due to FOGBAD."
"The video game industry has got me feeling FOGBAD due to their practices lately. I'll just play my backlog."
"Due to FOGBAD, I'll wait until House of the Dragon is finished and has favorable reviews before I spend my free time watching it."
"My FOGBAD was activated when they killed Joel in the beginning of The Last of US part 2 and made us play as his murderer."
