A sudden, overwhelmingly brilliant or insightful thought while under the influence of Marijuana. Notorious for seeming like a good idea at the time, but easily forgotten or disregarded due to the nature of it's conception.

Dude, Last night I smoked so much weed that I understood the secrets of the universe. It was a total Epotphany.

Musical Epiphany 

Having a musical epiphany is when you hear a song or band that completely alters or redefines your current music tastes. It will make you rethink nearly every musical decision you've ever made up to this point.

EX: Last night Jon and I went to a Get Back Loretta concert, and when the guitarist starting playing, I had a musical epiphany.

EX: I had a musical epiphany when an old Beastie Boys song came on the radio that I never heard before - changed my life.

epiphany 

An epiphany (from the ancient Greek ἐπιφάνεια, epiphaneia, "manifestation, striking appearance") is an experience of sudden and striking realization. Generally the term is used to describe scientific breakthrough, religious or philosophical discoveries, but it can apply in any situation in which an enlightening realization allows a problem or situation to be understood from a new and deeper perspective. Epiphanies are studied by psychologists and other scholars, particularly those attempting to study the process of innovation.

Often they are triggered by a new and key piece of information, but importantly, a depth of prior knowledge is required to allow the leap of understanding. Famous epiphanies include Archimedes's discovery of a method to determine the density of an object ("Eureka!") and Isaac Newton's realization that a falling apple and the orbiting moon are both pulled by the same force.
