Djent is slang for rent in the north east of the West Midlands (England). It comes from the mis pronunciation of rent by the early French immigrants who settled in the area in the late 1800's. It has since become common place especially with the advance or modern slang and ever changing vernacular of the youth of England.

Hitting the low string on a 6-7 or even an 8 string guitar, but then palm muting the string straight after it has been hit. Tunings used with 'djents' are usually Drop C# right down to low F's.

Heavy Metal subgenre that recently grew out of Djent, originally pioneered by 3 members of the band Tesseract. Characteristics include the use of open chords, often with no rhythm.

Djente is the funniest sexiest woman you will ever meet. Sometimes she is a bit insecure but she knows when to show off her skills, talent and body which attracts many men and women. Her most amazing talents include making plans and slaughtering hornets. She plays the dumbest sport on the planet but at least she slays. She will reference any pop culture quote at the perfect time and tone making you laugh till you cackle your pants. She needs to be on the aux cause music is her passion, and she slays. But beware, her sense in mugs is hideous and she runs on deflatina. If she doesn't get her daily dose...run.
