die with your boots on

"to die with your boots on" means that someone died in the middle of a fight or generally in the middle of a work-process.
It originates from the late 19th century, it was used to describe that a soldier died during battle.

"Die With Your Boots On" is also an Iron Maiden song about the same topic.
Person 1: Will you ever stop this madness? You need a brake from work!

Person 2: Only one more year...

Person 1: Oh you're totally gonna die with your boots on!

Die with my ones' boots on.

(v.) To make one last stand with everything you've got, so that there is no "if" scenarios.
If I'm gonna die, then I'll die with my boots on.
