the phase of being high when you're just absolutely chillin'. you're just the right amount of high ;)

#guy 1: "dude, are you still super high and freaking out?"
#guy 2: "nah dude, i'm totally at cruising altitude right now"

cruising altitude

A state of X (adult life for example) where no serious effort is urgent, or even needed anymore.

College kids talk about how they want a degree so they can shake things up and change the world, but like most people, deep down they just work towards a life at cruising altitude, and then that idealism fades just like yours or mine.

Once I've paid off my loans and can live life at a cruising altitude, I will at least consider having a child
