A Constitutionalist is an individual who believes in and supports the legal foundation of the US Constitution and its Amendments. They believe it is supreme law and that no new or current law should contradict or restrict the rights stated with in it. It is considered a third party political alignment and a Constitutionalist will vote in a way to preserve the constitution even if they as an individual agrees or disagrees with the immediate issue.
A Democrat and a Republican is inclined to protest and demand a change in law. A Constitutionalist is more inclined to boycott and rally people behind the idea that a business or local policy needs to change without the need for changing laws.
