Back-up Singer 

A back up singer is just that, someone who is in the behind hte rest of the band providing additional vocals for the lead vocalist. Back up singers are genrally not the main players in the band thus the term "back up" singers. Not considered to be one of the key players. When and if the back up singers desides not to attend, the concert can techniqually go on without them. This being said, as a back up singer you should know your place and have full understanding that it is the experience that you will use in the future that is trully your reward. Many great singers started off as unpaid back up singers. Genrally getting only food and housing pervided for them. At most a nation wide touring band gives no more then 5% of the pay to Back up's. Not including sales percentages of merchandise. The two most important parts of a back up singers is the ability to hold a note, and the responsibility of bringing your own microphone. If you are unable to do so watch out behind you cause someone else will.

Back up singer complex 

When an aspiring singer never makes it as a big star, they move forward in their life making sure they're always in the spotlight; even if it means making people feel bad about themselves.
I don't know why my man's mom is always trying to compete. Always trying to be in the spotlight, like she got back up singer complex or something.

backup singers 

Term used by rock musicans, most often white, to describe black street prostitutes that they cruise for in the ghetto after gigs..
"I'm tired of these same expensive pale bitches at the strips club, let's cruise the hood for some backup singers."

British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”

Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.

Pee Calculus

When you have to pee in a movie but don’t want to miss anything, and must do the following mental equation: will the amount I have to pee cause enough discomfort to diminish my attention capacity for the remainder of the movie to an extent which is greater than the amount of the movie I would miss by making a mad dash to the restroom.
I saw Satantango last night, wonderful film but by the 5th hour I had to start doing pee calculus.

When someone uses AI to generate a large document, slide deck, or piece of code/software and tosses it over the fence for you to deal with.
