The HTML tag that creates a new line in a webpage. Same as the <br> code. Multiple <br /> tags used after one another will create empty spaces rather than simple linebreaks.

In a web page's HTML code, this (excluding dashes):

Hello <br /> World
--

Will appear as this when viewed in a web browser:
--
Hello
World
--

Who the hell defines a line break?

I'll tell you who - someone who wants to complain about how annoying it is to type 50 million LINE BREAKS... in everything they write.
