Sophia: I told you that I was going to pick up some doggy treats at the store!
Patrick: And I told you that I couldn't pick up the dog because I was going to get a haircut!
Dog: My owners are taking a while to pick me up... they must be having couple beef.

Coupled Media outlets can be segmented so that only specific segments are under the control of a governmental body or organization. This definition is separate from a media outlet with an open political or opinionated leaning. Clearly marked advertisements are generally separate from the coupled media definition because they are openly marked as advertisements.

The coupled media outlet X broadcasted an approved prepackaged story ignoring the actual truth.

Coupled Science organizations and individuals are used to bend science (lie) to fit the desires of a governmental body or organization. These scientific segments are often paid to come up with the desired results.

Under extreme duress caused by a large salary and under pain of death the coupled science person proudly declared the world is flat.
