Instead, they are determined to prove to everyone - especially to minorities, women, or those who have lead harder lives than them - that they have learnt every ounce of what they have, whilst seeming loftily unaware of their privilege to a surprising extent.

The only criteria is that you are more privileged than the person you are speaking to, or feel in some manner 'better than them' in your mind, so that you may shamelessly act like you believe you are far superior than them.
