An underground Skype group active from around 2014 to 2020 that became known for coercing minors into harmful “SkypeShows.” According to old screenshots and archive posts, the group targeted vulnerable girls, pressured them to self harm on camera, and used threats and leaked information to control them. Early accounts describe the first incident involving two girls in 2014, which reportedly resulted in one taking her life shortly after. Over the following years, the group continued using extortion and manipulation, with people online claiming multiple deaths were connected to its activity.
808 operated with a hierarchy, rotating leadership, and invite only calls. Members recorded sessions without consent, isolated victims, and used blackmail to force compliance.
