These events allowed him to make a name for himself in the SK art scene and quickly picked up a reputation as an up-and-coming performer to keep an eye on within the industry. It was at this time that he became part of the street dance group Go Arts, a company with which he managed to make a name for himself as a semi-professional.
These events led his inclusion in BTS.
The group was formed initially as a hip-hop act, and their powerful performances still reflect that. J-Hope was the third member brought into the mix, and the first for his dance skills, bringing his moves to complement the hard hitting raps of Rap Monster and Suga.
