Norakuro is a fifty year manga epic which has lasted from 1931 to 1981. The most famous arcs outside of Japan are the ones with wartime floofball hood antics and much more so the marriage between the titular hero and his sweetheart, birthing a whole family together.
Norakuro is definitely a spiritual ancestor of Kinnikuman and Naruto. Naive and street smart simultaneously yet not quite as definitely stupid as the Canuck version of George of the Jungle.
