exodism is one member of a relationship having an entirely separate one that does not involve the other, yet the other member is completely accepting of it and may even prefer it to be the case. this is named after exodia from yu-gi-oh who may facilitate the separate relationship. the concept of exodism gets a bad reputation for no reason, and is used to imply someone is weak.

A World of Warcraft guild. The guild leader plays Yu-Gi-Oh(or You-Gay-Hoe, what it actually means, it's a card game for closet homos) and decided to name his guild after a card he got because the name was sooo kewl dewd!
