However, the YouTube algorithm interprets this as a signal that you have more time to watch videos. Subscribing to more channels doesn't magically ease your parents' screen time limits — it's akin to tipping whilst dining at a restaurant, indicating that the service deserves a higher wage, not that your stomach can hold more food.
I subscribed to ten new channels to show my support, but my parents still treat it like I've signed up for a marathon of screen time—it's just a digital equivalent of "tipping", not a signal that I want to binge-watch YouTube!
