Musical style invented by Deborah Harry, lead singer of Blondie and perpetuated by music publishers curious to see how long; 1)African American males can continue to murder each other for trivial reasons and 2)African American females can continue to be exemplified as anonymous arm decoration and interchangable sex toys.

Gangsta rap was formed...i think it was '87 maybe earlier by N.w.A., the niggas wit attitude. people often get rap and gantsa rap confused when they say all rap glorifies rape, murder, women as sex objects, guns, etc...however when you hear these lyrics you are listening to gantsta rap, not just normal rap. gangsta rap is credited as the reason why hip hop music is so controversial. lately, gangsta rap has become much more tame (although it is still pretty hardcore, look at DMX) then the days of NWA.
If you hate hip hop and think it is all about bad shit, look at some other rappers that are not in gangsta rap, for example chamillionaire, paul wall, mos def, etc

Death Rap is a style of rap thats lyrics and rhymes derive from the intense lyrics of Death Metal and Goregrind Metal.
Death Rap roots are also related to the violent and explicit lyrics of Gangster Rap, however Death Rap lyrics are more over the top and violent than those of Gangster Rap.
A very early example of the Death Rap genre is the late Biggy Smalls a.k.a Notorious BIG.
More modern day examples include east coast mc's: Necro and Ill Bill.
