The term essentially means the physical, mental, and emotional exhaustion, trauma, and consequences of systemic racism. While highlighting how much of a toll it takes on black people, the book also mentions how many aspects of life will rarely be or get improved.
The term "black fatigue" in recent media has been colonized and glazed over in a poor attempt to disguise blatant racism.
